Lindsey Gamble

Lindsey Gamble is a Brooklyn-based mixed media artist whose layered, textural works explore themes of
transformation, impermanence, and emotional resonance. Her creative path began in Paris as a pastry chef,
where she developed a keen eye for detail and design—skills she carried into two decades of bespoke cake
artistry as the founder of Elegantly Iced in New York.

Later, Lindsey earned a Master’s in Art Therapy from Pratt Institute, deepening her understanding of art’s
healing potential and the parallels between creative expression and the human experience.In the wake of the
COVID-19 pandemic, she committed fully to her fine art practice.

Lindsey’s work often incorporates vintage ephemera, personal mark-making, and layered textures that reflect
the complexities of lived experience. Her extensive travels—spanning over 40 countries—have shaped her
perspective and serve as both a conceptual influence and a source of materials, including books, handwriting,
and paper ephemera.

Influenced by the Japanese philosophies of wabi-sabi and kintsugi, Lindsey’s art celebrates the beauty found in
imperfection and transience—layering memory, material, and emotion into every piece.
