Roberta Greenberg

Once, letter writing was a cherished way to share emotions, thoughts, and memories. A
handwritten letter carried warmth and intimacy, transforming into a treasured keepsake.
My collage mixed-media pieces serve as love letters—to my family and to all who engage
with my art.

As a mixed-media artist, I see my work as a continuation of my lifelong creative journey.
Creating art is like assembling a puzzle, where each piece reflects a fragment of life’s
many moments. I ask myself, “What new perspectives can I uncover?” Through layers of
texture, color, and imagery—sometimes incorporating stamps from my father’s
collection—I invite viewers to explore their own narratives, fostering a dialogue that
transcends the visual and perhaps touches a deeper, more magical place in our hearts.

About The Artist

Roberta Greenberg is a mixed-media artist with a rich background in creativity, entrepreneurship, and service.
She holds degrees in Fine Arts and Education from Hunter College, Textile Design from the Philadelphia
College of Textiles and Science, and a Master’s in Marketing and Management from NYU. Her Master’s thesis,
which involved interviews with over 60 women business owners, explored the unique challenges and
successes of women in entrepreneurship.

Greenberg’s entrepreneurial journey began with co-founding the consumer gift brand Protocol, which she and
her husband successfully led for 33 years. Together, they grew the business into a thriving enterprise,
ultimately selling it in 2022. Throughout this time, she balanced her professional achievements with raising two
children, exemplifying her commitment to both family and career.

Following the sale of Protocol, Greenberg returned to her artistic roots. As a mixed-media artist, her work
continues a lifelong creative journey—one that blends personal history, storytelling, and exploration. Studying
at the Art Students League, she exhibited in student showcases and earned an honorable mention in Spring
2024. An active member of both the Art Students League and Pictor Gallery in NYC, she remains deeply
engaged in the artistic community.

In addition to her artistic practice, Greenberg is a certified life coach and a trained mentor with the National
Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), supporting individuals facing mental health challenges. Her passions for
travel, the arts, yoga, and the outdoors continue to inspire her creativity, influencing the layered textures and
narratives in her work.
