ABOUT THE ARTIST
Susan Wolfe is a New York City based artist. After enjoying many years of success in commercial interior design, Susan is now focusing on her lifelong passion as a painter. She received her BFA from Arcadia College and now studies at the Art Student's League from which she received a Merit Scholarship. She has also studied at The Cooper Union, Parsons School of Design, and School of Visual Arts. Susan's work can be seen at local galleries in exhibits throughout New York City
Susan's work reflects her devotion to architecture and design, her focus being color and space within the context of geometric forms. A visual reference may be conscious but not always apparent. The forms are dictated and transformed as a consequence of chance, formed by collage and its subsequent experimentation with layers. Structure may organize the chaos, transforming itself into a pattern within shifting images that will culminate into the whole. The outcome is never as it was originally conceived.
